Mimi was 2.5 years old when she was rescued in 2001. There were signs on the road by Lumley Beach advertising her for sale. She was bought by two military men who brought her to the sanctuary. She is part of the "ladies' club" of Nyanda and Suzan, and is one of our bigger girls at Tacugama. She is close friends with alpha male Chota and will often spend her time around him.
