Celia arrived at the sanctuary in January 2020 from Pujehun district. She was one of the many babies Tacugama rescued that year and was only 4 months old when the team brought her on site. When Celia came, she was tiny, weak and couldn’t sit or stand on her own. With the help of her surrogate mother Mama P who cared for her and bottle-fed her, she grew strong and smart. Celia is doing well now and has found her best friend in Romeo, rescued not so long after her.
