Born in Kambia district, Abdulai originally worked as a farmer, cultivating vegetables and groundnuts. He joined the NPAA guards in 2015 and started as field officer from the main office, visiting different parks and ensuring protection laws were adhered to. Since being stationed at Tacugama in 2019, Abdulai has become very knowledgeable about the area and is driven to protect it.
