Sonia was born in Tacugama in 2017. She is being raised by her mother Suzie, a chimp that arrived at the sanctuary back in 1996, and is suspected of being Tito’s daughter, the big alpha male of the group. Very fearless, Sonia has already encountered a few incidents in her short life. Each time, she pulls off a miracle and survives to normal function. Despite being an incident-prone ape, she has not become apprehensive, so heads up and search high up in the trees to spot her.
