The forest reserve surrounding Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary is full of beautiful and rare birdlife, and we would like to offer you a great opportunity to join us for half a day of walking with an expert guide, who will help you spot and identify many of our resident species. Come and learn how to distinguish malimbes, finches, sun birds, maninkins and others from their colours, calls and sizes.
The gentle exploration of the trails around Tacugama will introduce you to Sierra Leone's amazing birds and allow you to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Western Area close to Regent village. With our early morning start, it gives the best opportunity to see and hear a wide variety of birdlife. With a maximum group size of ten, you'll have plenty of opportunities to learn from your knowledgeable guides, who can inform you in English and Krio.

Following a three hour, information filled walk we'll treat you to a delicious breakfast of freshly prepared delicacies andlocal fruits, giving you plenty of time to discuss the morning's discoveries.
