Whilst we try to generate some of our own income through our ecolodges, sanctuary tours and shop, this covers only a small portion of our daily running costs.  Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world and tourist visitors are very small in number. 

To operate the sanctuary we still have to rely on funds raised from overseas donations, grants and support from volunteers.  It costs approximately US$1,500 each year to care for each chimpanzee at the sanctuary before we start any of our education and outreach projects. 

A great way to start helping us is to come and visit and stay at the sanctuary but if that's not an option then you can also help in the following ways:
